He is survived by: his wife Eva Hicks; his children, Kristina Joy Maxberry (David) of Lexington and James Matthew Hicks (Shelby) of Lancaster; his siblings, Helen Malino of Winchester, Susan Fruge (Eric) of Lexington, Patricia Hicks of Lexington, Chester Bernard Hicks II (Carol) of Florida and Joseph Vincent Hicks (Kim) of North Carolina; his grandchildren, Tamra Nicole Sallee, Seandre Lamontez Maxberry, Kayden David Maxberry and Evan Kaysen Maxberry; his brothers, Little David, Alexus, Kenneth Maxberry, Malaki, McKenna, Cheyanna, Raiden and Charleigh; his great grandchildren, Karter James Humphress and Jasper Cole Humphress; and his grandchildren, Bralynn and Hezikiah. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
