He was predeceased by: his father Kenneth Maxey; and his sister Libby Worley. He is survived by: his mother Ethel Maxey Blankenship (Luttrell); his daughters, Jennifer Maxey of Sidney, Debra Maxey of Corbin, Sarah Maxey Musgrove of Pine Knot and Tayler Rae Maxey of Strunk, Kentucky; his stepparents, Gary Blankenship of Quincy, Ohio and Etta Margaret Maxey of Revelo, Kentucky; his partner's sons, James Fobear (Courtney) of Lexington, Kentucky, Michael Fobear (Kyra) of Lexington, Kentucky and Joshua Fobear of Lexington, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Colton, Brooklynn, Abbie, Matty, Jasmin, Jocelyn, Broly, Fayla, Ethan and Lilly; the mother of his children Lauralee Theis; and his siblings, Michael Maxey, Billy Bowling (Sharon), Sam Bowling (Lenita), Lena Lovett (David) and Peggy Daugherty (Donald). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
