We are sad to announce that on April 11, 2022, at the age of 90, Velta M Smith (La Grange, Kentucky) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her former husband Joseph Smiley; her stepson Phillip Smith; and her parents, Girlie Short and Anna Short. She is survived by: her husband Fred Smith; her children, Annie Smiley, Sharron Smiley and Jeffrey Smiley; her stepchildren, Jerry Smith (Regina) and Mark Smith (LeAnn); her daughter-in-law Debbie Smith; her grandchildren, Donnie, Joey, Amy, Cami, John and Ann; her stepgrandchildren, Jay, Lyndsay, Cody, Katie, Jeremy, Trisha Shawna and Courtney; and her close friend Donna Oldson. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren.
