She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Jewell and Dana Burge Whitehouse; her husband Hobert Powell; her son John Mark Powell; her grandson John Adam Powell; and her siblings, Owen Whitehouse, Louise Cox, Elizabeth Madden, Charles Whitehouse, Mildred Whitehouse and Katherine Cox.

She is survived by: her grandchildren, Ashley Powell and Colton Powell. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
