He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Roberts and Willie Mae Roberts; his daughter Vonya Roberts; and his brothers, Howard Jr., Donald, Fred, Butch, Charles and Albert Roberts.
He is survived by: his children, Shawna Cassity (Jack Chase) and Jonathan Roberts (Susan); his siblings, Mary Scriber (Darrell), Bobby Roberts (Mary Lou) and Faye Perry; his grandchildren, Ben Meffert (Jessica), Taylor Cassity (Rosie), Tristian Roberts and Abigail Roberts; and his great grandchildren, Theo Cassity and Lily Cassity.
