He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce Oettel; and his parents, Rudolph Oettel and Jeanette Oettel. He is survived by: his children, Donald Oettel (Laurie), Michael Oettel (Beth), Linda Svoboda (Dan) and Brian Oettel (Amy); and his brother Larry Oettel (Carol). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
