In the sacred silence of farewell, Roger is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Roger's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thomas Burris and Zoroder Shirley Burris; his wife Norma Jean Cumbee Burris; and his siblings, Junior Burris, Ruby Williams, Helen Jackson and Mary Wilson.
He is survived by: his daughter Sherry Mills (Chris); his grandson Derek Mills (Holly) of Knob Lick; and his siblings, Gordon Burris (Jayne) of Hiseville and Elsie Jessie of Louisville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home (801 N Race St, Glasgow, KY 42141). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
