He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Dickson and Joyce Goodin Emmitt; his stepparents, Patty Dickson Bailey and Chester Emmitt; his niece Courtney Steenbergen; and his nephew Tristan Page.
He is survived by: his wife Sheila Strange Dickson of Knifley, KY; his children, Tommy Dickson (Annie) of Cane Valley, KY, Andy Dickson (Megan) of Lexington, KY and Ashley Dickson (Jacob Burton) of Somerset, KY; his grandsons, Oliver and Simon Dickson; his siblings, Cheryl Page (Ricky) of Charleston, SC, Mike Steenbergen of Scottsville, KY and Stacy Thompson (Joey) of Cub Run, KY; his uncle Rollin Dickson (Linda) of Glasgow, KY; and his friend Marshall Bailey of Glasgow, KY. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses or the WHAS Crusade for Children at 520 W. Chestnut St. Louisville, KY 40202.
