He was predeceased by: his parents, Steve Thomas and Annie Belle Murray (Booker); his former spouses, Ida May Murray (Holcomb) and Dennie Murray (Giles); his son James Robert Murray; and his siblings, Hubert Murray, Willie Thomas Murray, Ray Murray and Katheryn Williams.
He is survived by: his stepson Robert Brown of Knifley; his brother Jesse Murray (Debby) of Louisville; his grandson Timmy Blevins of Columbia; and his nephews, Tommy Murray (Chandra) of Indiana and Terry Murray (Robbie) of Louisville. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
