He was predeceased by: his parents, Harrison Mort Shoemaker and Hema Raney Shoemaker; his grandson Bobby Tyler Cook; and his siblings, Pauline McWhorter, Maxine Neal, Ruby Clark, Junior and Stanley Shoemaker.
He is survived by: his children, Sylvia Stinson of Campbellsville, KY and Jonathan Shoemaker (Jennifer) of Kings Mountain, KY; and his grandchildren, Whitney Sanders, Bobby Taylor Cook, Deidra Shoemaker, Destiney Lyons, Preston Thorn, Amanda Hatter and Andrew Cook. He is also survived by Six Great Grandchildren.
