He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester B. "Check" Rayborn and Cora Bell Leach Rayborn; and his brother-in-law Randall McDonald. He is survived by: his brother-in-law David Witt; his son David Paul Mounce of Kings Mountain; his siblings, Herbert Rayborn of Kings Mountain, Randy Rayborn of Kings Mountain, Douglas Rayborn of Kings Mountain, Margie Ellison (George), Sandy Witt (David), Marlene McDonald, Marilyn "Jessie" Rayborn, Jamie Padgett (James) and Barbara Ruth Phillips (Ray); his half-sister Mary Cook; and his brother Eddie Cook. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
