He was predeceased by: his parents, Thelmer Sims and Eula Sims (Shea); and his brother Elmer Sims. He is survived by: his wife Glenda Sims; his daughter Karen Rector of Kings Mountain; his sisters, Ova Padgett of Waynesburg, Opal Hatter of Harrodsburg and Oca Hatter of Liberty; and his grandchildren, Shandra Kaye, Spears and Kristian Rector.
