She was predeceased by: her parents, William Shelton and Ettie Phillippe Shelton; her children, Kernie Spaw, Kenny Spaw and Connie Lee Addington; and her siblings, Gene Shelton, Velma Adington, Mary Caldwell, Bessie Brown, Sarah Ashley, Rubby Higgins and Ethel Howson.
She is survived by: her children, John Ray Staton of Kings Mountain, Karen Allen (Danny) of Stanford and Kathy Schulthies (Carl) of Indianapolis, Indiana; and her daughter-in-law Carol Spaw of Kings Mountain. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; and 9 great great grandchildren.
