It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Thornhill Compton of Kimper, Kentucky, who passed away on March 8, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Thornhill and Bessie Moore Thornhill; her husband Sherman Compton; her sons, Charlie Compton, Jack Compton and Shannon Compton; her siblings, Irene Preece, Alice Hyden, Delilah Nunn, Charlie Thornhill, Lee Thornhill and Johnny Thornhill; her granddaughter Cynthia Stiltner; and her great great grandchild Nikki Roberson.
She is survived by: her children, Delores Chapman (Fon), Robbie Compton (Linda), Mack Compton (Carol) and Jill Skortz (Ken); and her siblings, David Thornhill and Sue Thornhill Dotson.
