He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Damron and Zara Compton Damron; and his sister Laura Pauline Adkins. He is survived by: his wife Betty Compton; his children, Anthony Compton (Crystal) of Paintsville, KY, Aaron Compton (Jennifer) of Richmond, KY, Anna Adams (Bert) of Paintsville, KY, Angela Mullins of Paintsville, KY and Tara Slone (Jamey) of Phelps; and his sisters, Gloria Compton Moore (Ed) of Pikeville, KY, JoEvelyn Miles of Pound, VA and Lillie Mae Bunch of Pikeville, KY.
Due to a recent mandate handed down by Governor Andy Beshear concerning the Covid-19 pandemic, all funeral services, memorial services, and visitations are required to be private with a maximum of 25 in attendance.
