He was predeceased by: his father Edd Chapman; his stepparents, Sadie Chapman and Elwood Charles; his son Jonathan Eddie Chapman; and his siblings, Tommy Charles and Phyllis Slone.
He is survived by: his mother Alice Charles (Pinion); his children, Hollis Dean Chapman (Kennedy Bentley) of Kimper, KY and Bridgette Williamson (Paul) of Stone, KY; his siblings, Terry Michael Chapman (Julie), Patrick Shawn Charles, Wanda Thacker of Raccoon, KY, Janice Slone and Tresea Pinson (Keith) of Berea, KY; his grandchildren, Aaron Robinson, Emily Robinson and Andrew Williamson; and his close friend Alissa.
