We are sad to announce that on November 19, 2024, at the age of 69, Anita Abshire of Kimper, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Fields and Earnie Belle Fife Fields; and her siblings, Alfred Fields, Fayetta Justice, Suetta Hill and Evelene Belcher.
She is survived by: her husband Jim Abshire; her children, Lora Caines (Rob) and Dewayne Abshire (Tonya); her siblings, Rita Justice and Fonso Fields; her grandchildren, Luke, Josh, Andrew Caines, Chloe Abshire, Austin Abshire and Chasity Gearles (Calvin); her great grandchildren, Raelyn, Colten, Callie Gearles, Ellie and Jersey Thacker; her daughter Paula Fletcher; and her close friends, Shelia Meade, Nadine Pugh, Dana Hilton and Bernice Wilson.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home (2931 US-23, Pikeville, KY 41501). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
