He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Bass and Hazel Waters Bass; and his siblings, Timmy Bass and Carla Sue Bass. He is survived by: his wife Donna Bass of Kevil, KY; his daughters, Michelle Strack (Greg) of Sharpe, KY and Mendy Newman of Kevil, KY; his siblings, Steve Bass, Jimmy Bass, Gary Bass, Debbie Vinson and Betty Garrett; his grandchildren, Ashley Malone, Devin Newman and Dalton Newman; and his great grandchildren, Kenley Malone and Sadey Malone.
