He is survived by: his children, Connie Dubbels of Paducah, KY, Donnie Mitchell (Michelle) of Scottsdale, AZ and Timothy Mitchell (Tammy) of Lone Oak; his grandchildren, Jennifer Mitchell, Julie Hoshiwara (Phil), Jamie Mitchell, Jeremie Hirsch, Shawna Henson (Chad), Savannah Gardner and Zachary Dubbels; his great grandchildren, Shaleigh Darnell, Sophie Hoshiwara and Addie Hoshiwara; his wife Dixie Lee Baldwin Mitchell; and his siblings, Mary Cluck, Vada Willis, Nadine Campbell, Bill Mitchell, Ted Mitchell, Bob Mitchell and Tom Mitchell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
