He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Abernathy and Letha Scott; and his brother Ray Abernathy. He is survived by: his siblings, Tony Abernathy (Dee Dee) of Texas and Bobbie Winters of Kevil; and his aunts, Erna Rae Jett of Kevil, Shirley O'Donley of Paducah and Ella Joe Moss (William) of Paducah.
