She was predeceased by: her husband Dallas Messer; her parents, Finley Slusher and Eliza Jane Jackson Slusher; and her siblings, Clara Slusher, Roy, Ance, Burchell, Green, William and Sam.
She is survived by: her son James Andrew Messer (Tina); her grandchildren, Jessica Leanne McKay, Timothy Edward McKay (Raychel) and Joshua Wayne McKay (Anna); and her great grandchildren, Richard Chapman, Hayleigh Chapman, Emma Lynn McKay, Ayliana McKay and Madilyn McKay. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
