Ancil Lee Vanover Obituary
Ancil Lee Vanover, 50, of Kenvir entered his heavenly home Sunday, May 16, 2021, at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville. Born January 16, 1971 in Bell County, he had lived in Harlan County most of his life. Ancil was the Pastor at the Kenvir Church of God and was employed by Pepsi as a merchandiser. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing the guitar and had served in the Kentucky National Guard for eight years.
Ancil is preceded in death by his parents, Lee Vanover and Opal Perry Vanover; and two brothers, Danny Vanover and Mark Vanover. Survivors include his wife of over 28 years, Christina Turner Vanover, Kenvir; a daughter, Timera Vanover, Kenvir; two brothers Doug Vanover and wife, Elizabeth; Jeff Cox and wife, Kerri; four sisters, Vivian Wright; Brenda Rawlins; Vickie White and husband, Michael; Sherry Ballinger and husband, Mark; and other friends and family, including his church family at the Kenvir Church of God.
His visitation will be held Thursday and Friday from 5 until 9 pm at the Kenvir Church of God. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm on Saturday, May 22, 2021, at the Church with the Reverend Jack Carmical and the Reverend Franklin Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in the Evarts Memorial Gardens with his family and friends serving as pallbearers.
