He was predeceased by: his parents, Taylor Asbury and Mary Christine Houston Brooks; his wife Eunice Hedgecock Brooks; and his sister Rebecca Brooks. He is survived by: his children, Michael Ray Brooks (Debra) of Bardstown, KY, Raye Jean Hopper (Clarke) of Cocoa Beach, FL, Kimberly Ann Figgins (Randy) of Brooksville, KY, Jo Lynn Jett (Greg) of Maysville, KY. and John Asbury Brooks (Melissa) of Maysville, KY.; his sister-in-law Mae Jo Flaugher; and his cousin Ronnie Moreland. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren.
