He was predeceased by: his wife Patsy Ann Sizemore Owens; his father Daugh Owens; his stepmother Bertha Owens; his mother Abby Gambrell Brumbley; his stepfather Walter Brumbley; and his siblings, Vernon Owens, Geraldine Owens Purdue and Joyce Owens.
He is survived by: his sons, Claude Chumley and Jeff Chumley; his grandchildren, Crolee Chumley and Sophia Chumley; and his siblings, Janus Hanna, Donnie Owens, Ronnie Owens, Brenda Harding, John L. Owens and Penny Cheeks. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
