He was predeceased by: his parents, Roscoe Davis and Mary Louise Davis; his wife Mary Margaret Peavler Davis; his children, Tommy and MaryAnn; his granddaughter Josephine; and his sisters, Betty Rogers and Jackie McCarter.

He is survived by: his siblings, Dorothy Case of Junction City, Jeannie Jessee (Wendell) of Junction City, John Thomas Davis (Shirley) of Lexington and James B. Davis (Theresa) of Harrodsburg; his brother-in-law Lewis Daniel McCarter of Junction City; and his nieces and nephews, Dana Johnson, Lisa Peyton, Linda Spears (Chris), Jean Davis, William Rogers (Kay), John Davis (Lisa), Don Davis, Clinton Terry (Tammy), Theresa York (Robert), Tammy Smith, Todd Davis (Jan), Dennis Davis (Tara) and Jamie Belcher (Matthew).
