He was predeceased by: his parents, James S. Qualls and Myrtle Wilson Qualls; and his siblings, Junior, Clarence, Lawrence Qualls, Lyda Pendygraft, Peachie Snow, Bessie Qualls and Ruby Merrell.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Vanoy Qualls; and his children, David Qualls (Cindy) of Danville, Gary Qualls of Junction City and Vickie Lay (Ray) of Danville. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
