He was predeceased by: his siblings, Delbert Carey, Alvie Carey, Ronnie Carey, Linda Maddox and Melvene Pike.
He is survived by: his daughter Chasity Goode; his grandchildren, Bella and Jacob; and his siblings, Jimmy Carey (Kaye), Kenny Carey (Donna), Evelyn Southerland, Dora Tanner (Kenneth), Bernice Lambert (Leon), Barbara Howard and Sheila Carey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
