He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Edwards and Anna Bell Edwards; his sons, Ronald Wayne Edwards and Christopher Allen Edwards; and his siblings, Mary Betty Hutchinson, James Ray, William Thomas, Wayne, Carl and Harold Edwards.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Faye Cheatham Edwards; his children, Darrell Edwards (Peggy Appleby) of Lincoln County and Kathy Diane Spears (Dwayne) of Waynesburg; his brother Buford Edwards (Loretta) of Stanford; and his grandchildren, Darrell Dwayne Edwards (Marsha) of Paint Lick, Joseph Scott Edwards (Megan) of Lancaster, Ashley Nicole Carr (Billy) of Lancaster, Tyler Edwards (Ericka), Bridgett Edwards of Lancaster, Kenny Hodge (Melissa) of Moreland, Michael Spears (Shandra) of Eubank, Gil Lay (Stefanie) of Mercer County and Kayla Hensley. He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren.
