She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew "Buck" Gordon and Ella Setters Dobson; her husband Chester Byrd; her son Chester Lee Byrd; her great grandchild Emmalie Jade Baker; and her brothers, Andrew, Charles, William, James, Johnny, George, Edward Gordon, Harold and Samuel Mounce.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jeanie Byrd Bailey (Ferrell) of Danville and Elizabeth Byrd Montgomery (Johnny) of Junction City; her granddaughter Loretta Byrd of Stanford; her great grandchildren, Jaqualyn Baker of Lily and Chestan "Jake" Baker (Alissa Summers) of Richmond; and her stepson Charles Edward Byrd of Tennessee.
Memorial contributions are preferred to the The Singing Byrds, Bride of Christ Ministries or the Blanket of Blue homeless and veteran outreach.
