He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Newsome and Lacy Bryant Newsome; his son Tim "Timbo" Newsome (Pam); and his siblings, Jonah Newsome, Jonas Newsome and Maxie Mae Roberts.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Damron Newsome; his children, Stonie Newsome, Tammie Prater (Kernie) of Virgie, Phyllis Moore (Joe) of Virgie and Tennille Newsome of Washington, PA; his sisters, Sadie Hamilton of Floyd County, Juanita Hamilton of Ohio, Almedia Walker of Virgie and Belva Riddle of Little Creek; his grandchildren, Kris, Krystal, Joe, Sydney, Brooklynn and Jessica; and his great grandchildren, Skylar, Logan, Weston and Jameson.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 6:00 PM and on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 6:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Hall and Jones Funeral Home (1101 KY-610, Virgie, KY 41572).
