He was predeceased by: his parents, Bufford Dale and Vada Craft Caudill; his wife Opal Caudill; and his brother Timothy Caudill. He is survived by: his wife Zola Denise Collins Caudill; his son Travis Dale Caudill (Heather) of Jeremiah; his siblings, Ralph Caudill (Patricia) of Jeremiah, Sharon Adams (Kirk) of Jeremiah and Jeannie Gibson of Whitesburg; and his grandson Colton Dale Caudill.
