It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernie Stewart of Jenkins, Kentucky, who passed away on January 3, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father William W. Stewart; his siblings, Benny, Kernie, Jack Stewart, Minerva and Bertha; and his grandsons, Shane Kelly, Austin Mullins and Preston Dingess.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Bentley Stewart; his children, Sherry Kelly (James), Ronnie Stewart, Tony Stewart (Donna Sue), Terry Don Stewart (Misty), Verna Kay McPeek (Jeff), Kevin Stewart (Jessica) and Ruth Addington; and his stepchildren, Debbie Slone (Mike), Sherry Morgan (Ben), Cynthia Casebolt, DeLisa Mullins and Conley W. Mullins. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
