It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phillip B. Bates formerly of Jeffersonville, Kentucky, who passed away on August 6, 2022, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. E. W. Bates and Alfrena Christy Bates. He is survived by: his spouse Syverta L. Bates; his daughter Alisha J. Bates; his granddaughter Nevaeh A. Bates; his stepson Terry D. Staples; and his siblings, Phyllis Bates Pinkston, Sharon L. Bates, Rachelle C. Bates, Teresa Bates Barclay (Stan), Daddie, Pawpaw, Popsicle and Scotty. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, great nieces, great great nieces and nephews and friends.
