He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Brooks and Stella Woodard Brooks; his daughter Donna Sue Brooks; and his siblings, Charles Brooks Jr., Cecil Brooks, Avery Brooks, Benny Brooks and Thelma Stephens.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Rowe Brooks of Jeffersonville, KY; his children, Douglas Brooks (Andrea) of Menifee County, KY, Michael Brooks (Sabrina) of Menifee County, KY, Paula Havens (Jeff) of Montgomery County, KY, Lisa Powell (Ronnie) of Bath County, KY, Rebecca Brooks of Montgomery County, KY and Crystal Vazquez-Perez (Elgar) of Montgomery County, KY; and his siblings, Lehmon Brooks of Montgomery County, KY and Louise Lawrence of Winchester, KY. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; and eleven grandchildren.
