It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Frances Layne of Jeffersonville, Kentucky, born in Huntington, West Virginia, who passed away on February 18, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Vanis Layne. She is survived by: her children, William Rex Layne (Edith) of Campton, Timothy James (Lynn) of Jeffersonville and Margaret Ann Harris (Jim) of Morehead; her grandchildren, Isabella Alexis-Layne, Gratiana Alexis-Layne, Jaden Alexis-Layne, Chad Layne, Rocky Layne, Wesley Lester and Vanessa Johnson; and her siblings, JoAnn Ratliff of Pike County, Delcie McCloud of Huntington, WV, Fred McCloud and Keith McCloud of Logan, WV.. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Herald & Stewart Home For Funerals (1002 Woodford Dr, Mt Sterling, KY 40353). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
