He was predeceased by: his father Charles Kurutza; and his siblings, Rodney Kurutza, Carol Toffey and Gail Steele. He is survived by: his wife Susan St. Peter of Jeffersonville, KY; his son Charles "Chipper" Kurutza of Arizona; his brother John Kurutza of Randolph, UT; and his grandson Gabriel Hughlett.
