In the vast expanse of eternity, William shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid William farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Howard and Lillie Mae Nix Westmoreland; his wife Linda Pearl Vinson Westmoreland; and his siblings, Johnny Lee Westmoreland, Charles Westmoreland (Bud) and Jean Underwood.
He is survived by: his children, William E. Westmoreland Jr. of Commerce, GA, Richard Westmoreland of Clermont, GA and Nancy Meaders (Denise) of Cornelia, GA; and his sisters, Patricia Butler of Talking Rock, GA and Darlene Spencer of Flowery Branch. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home (118 N Brooks St, Cleveland, GA 30528). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
