She was predeceased by: her father Cody McGowan; and her brother Emory Tate, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Thomas Ray Salls; her children, David Thomas Salls (Tonara Bell), Stephanie Denise Salls (Jeffrey Hampton), John Isaac Cleophus Salls and Damien Armand Salls; her mother Emma Tate; her siblings, John McGowan, Margaret Jernigan, Harold McGowan, Katrinka Trail, Katherine Tate, Elizabeth Tate and Darryl Andrews; and her grandchildren, DJ, Jordyn, Jeiana, John Jr., Sophia, Penelope, Vivienne, D'Morea, Olivia, D'Nae, Damien Jr., Aniya, Christopher, Isabella and Danarius.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home (10600 Taylorsville Rd, Jeffersontown, KY 40299). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Jeffersontown (10600 Watterson Trail, Jeffersontown, KY 40299).
