He was predeceased by: his parents, Martha Swords (Griffith) and Leo Swords; and his siblings, Bruce, Lloyd, Chuck Swords, Evelyn Anthony and Gloria Schaide.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Swords (Patten) of Jamestown, KY.; his children, Belinda Parker (Curtis) of Texas, Velina Swords of Jamestown, KY and Hale Swords of Jamestown, KY; his brother Larry Swords of Ohio; his grandchildren, Jason Parker and Madison Swords; and his great grandchildren, Lance and Bonnie Parker.
