He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Cathy Lovely McCune; his parents, William Strawder McCune (Theresa) and Cathy Strong Mayes (Steve); his sons, Ethan Kyle McCune, Luke Strawder McCune and Adam Nicholas McCune; his stepdaughter Katelyn Devonne Smith; and his stepbrother Jared Blanton.
