We are sad to announce that on March 23, 2025, at the age of 85, Billy Ray Turner (Jackson, Kentucky) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ollie James and Fannie Stamper Turner; his wife Julia Turner; and his brothers, Greenberry Turner, Orville Lee Turner and Johnny Turner.
He is survived by: his sons, Ollie Jason Turner (Susan) of Wolfcoal, KY, Bill Turner (Angela) of Lost Creek, KY and Stacy Ray Turner of Wolfcoal, KY.; his siblings, Gladys Pelfrey (Lynn) of Jackson, KY, Geraldine Smith (Mitchell) of Canoe, KY. and James Elliott Turner (Ann) of Jackson, KY.; his grandchildren, Mallory Turner, Makayla Turner, Billy Turner, Brady Turner and Josh Dickinson; and his great grandchild Chole Turner. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Deaton Funeral Home Chapel (15 Deaton Ln, Jackson, KY 41339). A burial was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
