He is survived by: his wife Kathy Mitchell; his children, Jessica Whitaker (Billy) of Prestonsburg and Kelly Caudill (Stacey) of Mayking; his stepson James Whitaker (April) of Nancy; his granddaughters, Trinity Whitaker of Nancy and Caleigh Kilgore of Mayking; and his siblings, Gary (Denise) of Indianapolis, IN, Mark Mitchell of Indianapolis, IN, Jody, Nancy Adams of Cornettsville and Sally Ogden (Ronnie) of Indianapolis, IN.
