He is survived by: his wife Cecilia Powers; his children, Jeff Powers (Autumn) of South Bend, Derrick Thaxton (Christina) of Madisonville, Amie Waltrip (Luke) of Central City and Crystal Penrod (Bill) of Utica; and his sisters, Patricia Robbins of Baxter, June Carr (Marty) of Lake Worth and Janie Powers of Utica. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
