She was predeceased by: her parents, Dowell Houston and Vivian Dean Bowman Trunnell; her husband David Boyken; her daughter Freedom G. Boyken; and her brother Danny Trunnell.
She is survived by: her granddaughter Jaynah James of Owensboro; her great grandchildren, Serenity Hope McCormick and Destiny Grace James; and her sisters, Kaye Daugherty (George) of Livermore and Jennifer Bullock (Allen) of Central City.
