He was predeceased by: his parent Jessie Willis Chappell; his wife Norma Elizabeth McIntosh Chappell; his sister Betty Jean Burrell; and his stepgrandson Greg Davis. He is survived by: his mother Margie Lee Hayes Chappell; his siblings, Kathy Short (Michael) and Kenneth Chappell (Judy); his stepchildren, Patricia Berry, Denny Breeden (Tena) and Sue Allgood (Terry); and his stepgrandchildren, Micki Chachere, Jason Johnson, Jessica Nalley, Lesley Aulick and Collin Allgood. He is also survived by 8 step-great grandchildren; 1 step-great-great grandchild; and his nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Alexander Funeral Home (509 Spring St, Irvington, KY 40146). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
