He was predeceased by: his son Bruce Loid Hood; his parents, Harvey Leondius and Martha Eunice Edgerton Hood; and his siblings, Thomas Allen, Harvey, Floyd Hood and Edna Earl Simmons.
He is survived by: his wife Mildred Lee Goins Hood; his children, Roger Dale Hood, David Earl Hood, Roxanne Faye Hood and Linda Marie Dupin; his grandchildren, Billy, Jeff, Cindy, Joshua, Nicole, David, Jeremy, Tammy, Mitchael, Chris, Jenny and Devin; and his siblings, J. B., Roy Hood, Annette Robinson, Thelma Williams and Eunice H. Carter-Baldwin. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren.
