He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Napoleon Embs and Nannie Mae Clem Embs. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Neal Embs; his children, Samuel Ray Embs II and Kristy Embs Smith; his grandchildren, Timothy Lee Smith III, Anna Smith Rowe and Maycee Lorraine Embs; and his siblings, Gary Embs, Carlene King, Barbara Richardson, Cleta Dial, Loretta Travis and Linda Hounshell. He is also survived by his family and friends.
