He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Farthing and Mae Turner Farthing; and his siblings, Robert Farthing, Charles Farthing and Mary Ellen Sexton.
He is survived by: his wife Lizzie Webb Farthing; his children, Lana Bowlin and Jeff Farthing (Robyn); his brother Harlan Farthing (Buck); and also, Dallas and Lucille Turner. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.
