He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruben Tipton and Laura Chaney Tipton; his wife Mildred "Milly" Alcorn Tipton; his stepdaughter Kimberly Kolsky; his siblings, Betty Ann Crowe, Offie Lee Tipton, Cleary Tipton, Thomas Tipton, Shelby "Red" Tipton, Joe Tipton and Grover Tipton; his nephew Rudolf Crowe; and his niece Bernice Dixon.
He is survived by: his daughter Lori Tipton Lee; his grandchildren, Ashley Lorin Simpson and Garret James; his stepgranddaughters, Heather Payne and Holly Osborne; and his nieces and nephews, Esco Crowe, Shelby Crowe, Janette Dixon and Trisha Shannon. He is also survived by Several nieces and nephews Great nieces and nephews.
