He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Dixon and Mary Ellen Lunsford Dixon; and his siblings, Celia Toler, Eliza Stamper, Florence Gross, Claude, Junior and Frank Dixon.

He is survived by: his wife Susie Powell Dixon; and his daughter Johna Mechelle Dixon.
